Back in 2014 our founders, Cleo Westhrope, Belinda Harries and Caitlin Macleod, wondered why Australian teachers did not have a reliable way to know their impact. They knew that schools collect data and gather feedback to a varied effect. Yet a strong empirical and validated approach was missing. Pivot was founded to translate feedback from students into the classroom, empowering teachers and school leaders to become better educators.
Every student deserves a chance to thrive in school. Pivot makes this possible by helping schools create effective learning environments based on evidence-based insights and a strong culture of feedback.
All that we do is informed by research, evidence and expert analysis of data. We provide insights that schools can rely on during their improvement journey.
We believe every student should have the best possible learning opportunities regardless of their circumstances.
We provide equitable access to our platform and research by focusing on affordability, cultural competency and inclusive design of our tools.
We employ a talented, dedicated team of educators including some of the smartest researchers in education.
